May 19th: ABATE of Arizona Yavapai Chapter presents: "Run to the Hills 2" Saturday May 19th, 2012. Gates open at 10:00AM. $10.00 per person. Run Pins to the first 300. Dry camping is included and is first come first serve. There are some wonderful hotels in Jerome and you should book your room now if you prefer the comfort of a hotel. Try Connor Hotel, Jerome Grand, Ghost City Inn, Sturgeon House, Mile High for starters. Last years Run to the Hills was a great success and we are looking forward to even a better event this year in Jerome.
You can expect bike games, people games, a treasure hunt, Live classic rock music, vendors, a wet t-shirt contest, speakers, a fashion show and a great old skool fabulous time. This is old skool so bring your won everything which means tents, grills, chairs, coolers, beer, ice, water etcc. There will be a shuttle that will take people from the Gold King Mine into the town on Jerome and back to avoid constant searches for parking, etc. There will be a food vendor on site and there are awesome restaurants in the town of Jerome. The treasure hunt will take place in the town of Jerome and at the Gold King Mine.
Sometimes folks have a hard time finding the Gold King Mine so the physical address is 1000 Perkinsville Road and is about 1 mile N of Jerome. When you get into Jerome regardless of the direction you come from you turn North at the Firehouse and follow that road out. Perkinsville Road is tar until you get to the Gold King Mine. This is not a race of any kind so please throttle down while in town and follow the road out and just stay on that road to the gate. This is a 21+ event. You must be 21 or over to attend. Please no children and no dogs. No weapons are allowed.
All of the games take place at the Gold King Mine as well as the Shine and Show Bike Show.

If you are interested in vending please call Havok Cycles Mike at 928-420-1291 or Beth at 602-367-4259. Vending is $50.00 and includes 2 entrances. Vendors can set up at 6AM and must be done setting up before the gates open at 10:00AM.
This year there is an extra charge for Motorhomes and again is first come, first serve, Due to limited space we prefer tent camping but if you must bring your motorhome be advised it is $30.00 plus entry donation. So if there are 2 of you it will be $50.00 total.
